Simple Salt and Pepper Ribeye


    1 ribeye steak
     Sea salt flakes
    Freshly ground black pepper


     1. Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
     2. Heat a skillet or grill to high heat. While it's heating, generously season both sides of the steak with sea salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper.
     3. Place the steak on the hot skillet or grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer depending on your preferred level of doneness.
     4. Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute for the most tender and flavorful steak.
     5. Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
