1.1 lbs ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Salt and pepper, to taste
Noodle Bake:
14 oz egg noodles
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Prepare Meatballs:
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
In a bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, egg, bread crumbs, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
Form into small meatballs, and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
Cook Noodles:
While the meatballs are baking, boil the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make Sauce:
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in beef broth, and bring to a simmer.
Stir in sour cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine and Bake:
In a large baking dish, mix the cooked noodles and meatballs.
Pour the sauce over the noodle and meatball mixture.
Sprinkle with Parmesan and Swiss cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Garnish with chopped parsley.
