Fried Wing Flats Drizzled With Honey Lemon Pepper


INGREDIENTS:

8-10 Chicken wings, split into drums and flats if desired
2 cups Vegetable oil, for frying
Seasoning/ breading
2 cups All purpose flour
2 tablespoon Seasoning salt
2 teaspoon Garlic powder
2 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Paprika
1 tablespoon Black pepper
Lemon Pepper Honey
1/2 cup Honey
2 tablespoon Lemon pepper seasoning




INSTRUCTIONS:

Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Meanwhile, season chicken generously with all spices, making sure to coat evenly.
Turn wings in flour mixture to coat evenly. Carefully lower the wings into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
While the wings are cooking, add the honey, lemon pepper, and fresh lemon juice to a small saucepan. Bring mixture to a gentle boil, then remove from heat.
Fry the wings for 7 minutes per side, remove and drain on a wire rack or kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
Let the wings rest for 5 minutes to allow the crumbs to set. Sprinkle hot lemon pepper, honey over chicken.
