Insanely Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp with Steamed Rice


Ingredients:

For the Shrimp :

300g (10 oz) raw shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt & freshly cracked black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Cream Sauce :

½ cup heavy cream
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste


For the Rice :

1 cup jasmine or basmati rice
2 cups water
Pinch of salt

 Instructions:

Cook the rice by combining it with water and a pinch of salt in a pot; bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 12 minutes until fluffy. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sear the shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink, then remove them. In the same pan, melt the butter, sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then stir in cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer gently for 2–3 minutes, then return the shrimp to coat in the sauce. Serve with fluffy rice and garnish with chopped parsley and extra black pepper.
